A striking piece of vintage Ghanaian Kente, dating to approximately the 1960s. This handwoven textile is composed of carefully joined woven strips, creating an intricate patchwork of geometric blocks, fine horizontal stripes, vertical accents and colourful woven motifs.

The design features a rich yet naturally aged palette of deep burgundy, charcoal, muted red, mustard yellow, olive green, rust, cream, tan and touches of blue and pink. The combination of contrasting patterns gives the textile a wonderfully graphic, almost painterly quality, while the variations in the weave reflect its handmade character.

The cloth retains in good condition making it particularly appealing as a collectible textile, the finely detailed weaving and complex arrangement demonstrate the skill and patience involved in its creation.

Measurements: 69 inches by 49 inches

Ideal for collectors of African textiles, interior designers, textile enthusiasts and those looking for an authentic historic Ghanaian textile. It can be displayed as wall art, used as a statement interior textile, or incorporated thoughtfully into a contemporary space.

Please Note

Due to the vintage and handcrafted nature of this textile, signs of age, fading, and minor imperfections are part of its authenticity and charm. However this specific piece is in very good condition.
